CCC provides care for cancer patients during and after their treatment, the main services range from oncological physiotherapy, psychosocial care to dietetics and next to that CCC offers a range of other healthcare services. The purpose of aftercare is to provide the patient with long-term, comprehensive support and assistance. CCC’s mission statement is ‘Back to vitality’.
These CCC activities are currently incorporated in the largest physiotherapy organization in the Netherlands.

My role is to support the management with the carve-out of those CCC activities.

Kliniek Amstelveen (jan 2017- juli 2017)
Boardroom consulting
‘Kliniek Amstelveen’ was a privately owned clinic for plastic surgery and the company also offered operation theater, including staffing. The company was a long period of time in bad financial condition due to several reasons. The shareholders/directors asked me to end the activities (sell the real estate, relocate the employees, negotiate with suppliers etc) and transfer the company to the curator.

Schuuring Telecom (nov 2015- jan 2017)
Enboarding the largest contract gains of the history of the company
As a preferred partner of KPN Telecom, Schuuring acquired a contract (EUR 50 mln/year) for maintaining technical installations and buildings.
Successfully incorporated the new activities in the Schuuring organisation.

QVC Germany (march 2015 – dec 2015)

Designed and partly implemented the control and planning cyclus at Customer Care; Management Reporting.

Topbrands BV (nov 2013 – dec 2014)

Topbrands offer a full range of A-Brand and Private Label products for personal care and household cleaning products. Topbrands can manage all the logistics involved from re-labeling to storing and distribution of the goods to the retailer’s place.
Designed the new management information dashboard and prepared the financial input for an investment in a new warehouse.

Denimpex BV is a worldwide operating wholesale company in fruits and vegetables.
Responsible for Finance and ICT. Main goal was to finish the Annual Report 2009 and Annual Report 2010, structure the processes, and implement the integrated IT-system.

Visited several operations in China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Australia with the director in order to close contracts.

VSL Silologistics BV (oct 2009 –  april 2010)

VSL is responsible for managing several dedicated warehouses in the Netherlands and Belgium (45 silo’s) for chemical companies. VSL also provides the (re)packaging and distribution of those goods.
Restructuring the financial department and providing annual report 2009 in close cooperation with a private equity party.

 ‘IJsselmeerziekenhuizen’ hospital (2007 – jun 2009)
Director of Finance/Concern Controller
Large regional hospital (renamed: MC Lelystad and MC Emmeloord) suffering from poor management, resulting in near bankruptcy.
Restructured the financial, HR, facility and ICT department. In close cooperation with the main stakeholders (insurance companies, Ministry of Health, banks) we were able to ‘sell’ the hospital to a private investor. The new owners brought in their own management (ceo, cfo and coo). As requested I finished the annual report 2008 and then handed over my responsibilities to the newly appointed CFO. 

UPC Europe Customer Care (2007 – 2007)
Consultant
Designing, and partly implemented, the European Customer Care policy and the associated management reporting system.

Member of the due diligence team to investigate the customer care activities of Corus, the largest cable operator of Ireland, which was acquired by UPC.

In close collaboration with UPC France and NOOS (the largest cable operator of France which was acquired by UPC) executed a study to investigate the need to outsource CC activities.

SHL BV (2006 – 2007)
Interim manager Finance, HR, IT, Facilities
Saville Holdsworth Limited (SHL, listed on the stock exchange in London, and operating worldwide) provides HR-consultancy, assessments and  IT-tools for recruitment and development of employees.

In close collaboration with SHL Europe and in a 4 months period restructured SHL NL from approx. 80 to 40 employees and saved SHL from bankruptcy. Furthermore, we updated/ simplified the procedures and moved to a smaller office. The financial administration was both UK GAAP and Ducth GAAP.

Soldius BV (2004 – 2005)
Chief financial officer and vice president
Soldius develops, manufactures and sells on a worldwide level mobile solar chargers for mobile devices. Visited with the ceo several prospects in Korea (Samsung Electronics), India (governmental departments), Germany, Canada and the USA. Soldius was discussing and even preparing an IPO (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, incentive program).
Total equity of  € 1.0 million was provided by an equity fund and a private investor.

Within 2 years time the company went bankrupt as the American distributor was not able to meet his commitments (5 years contract with a value of  € 200 million).

Mediakabel BV (2003 – 2005)
CFO a.i.
Finished a project concerning the reposition of Mediakabel in order to meet the new requirements for cable operators and telcos. Mediakabel operates a digital platform for all main Dutch cable operators (e.g. Essent, UPC, Casema). The main service provided by Mediakabel was signal distribution for TV, radio and NVOD.

Apart from finance, responsible for facilities and human resources; revenues approx: € 85 mln; 500 FTE; 600.000 subscribers. Successful projects:

  • Responsible for the relocation of the company to a new 000 m2 site
  • Restructuring management information.
  • Chairman of EURO- project.

Retail chain (household goods and luxurious articles) and wholesale in Netherlands, Germany, Belgium. Turnover approx. NLG 1,5 billion, 5.000 FTE.

  • Restructuring Finance & Accounting department, total of 45 employees.
