2004 – 2021 Member of Advisory Board ‘Atletiekvereniging Phanos Amsterdam’
Phanos is one of the leading athletics clubs in the Netherlands and based in the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam. From 2003 to 2007 member of the Board (treasurer)
2007 – 2021 Board member of the ‘ Society Olympic Stadium’
The society is formed around a group of former (top)sportsmen and people involved in the management of sports clubs. The main goal of this society is to promote sport in general.
2015 – 2019 Member of the Advisory Board of Cancer Care Center Foundation
The foundation raises donations for the Cancer Care Centre. This organization aims to help (former) cancer patients in the process of handling their illness. Their credo is ‘Back to vitality’. CCC’s activities range from physical training, mental and social support to selling wigs, headwear, breast prostheses, and bras to cancer patients.

Golfclub Spaarnwoude is one of the leading golf clubs in the Netherlands with 2.000 members
2006 – 2009 Board member of the ‘Foundation Amsterdam Marathon’
The board of the ‘Stichting Amsterdam Marathon’ organizes the ING Amsterdam Marathon, one of the 12 leading marathons in the world with 20.000 athletes participating.
